Capitain No Shit Sherlock , Hey, No Shit; The Man behind the creation of the internet, had been working on the concept at various Educational & Research institutions for years before coming to work for the Military at a high level position at the forerunner of DARPA. At DARPA he convinced the head of the Agency (he was a civilian) to fund the development of the internet (Though it wasn’t called that at the time) with the reasoning that it would give the military a Secure, Robust, Communications system. In Truth, As he stated in a Documentary, his real purpose was for Better & More Effective Communication between Scientist and Researchers around the World. As for the W.W.W. that was developed at CERN. None of this was really done for the U.S. Military or for Commercial or individuals use. Thank the Powers That Be for the U.S. Military for funding its development & Tim Burners-Lee, a British Scientist, at CERN for developing the WWW in 1989 for working with his Colleagues!
