Dam it just seems like yesterday that Load came out & I was a ripe 20 years old lol,it was funny to hear him say they did a festival with Bush,not a good combo.But I remember listening to Load in my tape player before my hockey games to get pumped up.But I wasn't a fan of re-load.
@snugglyjeff214
@snugglyjeff214 4 жыл бұрын
Not a good combo? Metallica was just a southern bluesy alternative rock at this time. They followed the trends just like they always have, and added their little edge to it. Bush was definitely on the heavier side of alt rock as well so it seems like a perfect fit to me. Certainly a lot better fit than Manson.

I know for a fact James is extremely proud of what they accomplished musically & sonically on Load and Reload. Watching James' inerview on Fan Can VI, when asked what song he is most proud of. He proceeds to name Outlaw Torn, Fixxxer, and Bleeding Me as top 3 candidates. I don't blame him, these three tracks are more 'Metallica' than anything they'd done before that. They are definitely more 'Metallica' songs than anything else as James likes to say, like many others on these two records.
