James' anger and introvert personality has brough us some timeless music in the past, but man it's nice to see him like this! He seems so happy nowadays! Personally I don't dig the new music as much as much as the old, but it's still better than many other metal bands. And they have absolutely NOTHING left to proove.

With so much popular garbage being played on the airwaves, I'm so glad Metallica is still around after over 40 years to show them how it's done. No lip syncing, no half-naked back up singers/dancers, no sampling or autotune. Just pure, raw musical talent.
@DeadDad1

Here here! Sadly it seems the trend is away from actual musical instruments in favor of software generating the sounds of different instruments. I feel like my dad when I tell my kids that they don't know what real music is these days. 😂

Fantastic seeing James do an interview on his own. In the early days he let Cliff lead the conversation probably out of respect. Then, Lars did the talking for decades, well, because he can’t stop talking. Grown up with the band and it’s beautiful to see James happy, confident, and sober.

Metallica is iconic and was a huge part of my childhood and teen years. As I grew to different genres of metal, I found they never quite did much for me and felt pretty tame in comparison. It's why they still end up on the likes of Jimmy Fallon. My hope is people who enjoy heavy music like Metallica but have never branched out to explore more, to do so. If you have no aversion to heavy vocals but enjoy singing as well, with heavy riffs but melodic ones as well, check out Invent Animate. "False Meridian", "Cloud Cascade", and "Without a Whisper" are some of my favs. Hope someone sees this and discovers a new band!
