Nicki_Mustaine This takes a ton of practise and a good dose of patience. I am not a good guitarist and do not even consider myself as one since I originally play drums and recent years more bassguitar. And even I made some progress with some rehearsal for a good amount of time. Clearly not as good as this tho'. This takes years after years of practice. it is important to do it slow at first and don't get tempted to do it faster and faster. That is something a drumteacher tought me. And also to cut it down ( for example with a drumkit, only start with the snaredrum and hi-hat, then start to add more things when you master the hi-hat and snaredrum part in the song). I hope this helps in some way.

I might be late for advice but even though I can't play all these solos like him I know a couple of things about playing guitar. Having your string action setup properly helps and also the right mindset. Every time I want to play better and more effortlessly I try to remind myself that the strings never should touch the wood of the fretboard when I play. Then go for very simple warm up exercises and try to always use the minimal pressure you can with your fingers to get the note to sound clear. When you're really concsious of pressure and effort you will get used to the minimal effort technique and that helped me a lot. I always try to remind myself after a while of playing, that the strings shouldn't touch the fretboard. It helped me personally. I think Kiko Loureiro (Megadeth) also made a really great video about that subject as well.

Seems to me you don't REALLY need emgs to get a perfect Metallica tone . All you need is an ibanez and a good amp . Very nice playing man ;)

one thing you HAVE to admit is that no one has done more with one scale (E minor) than kirk .Metallica is a great band, Hetfield a genius song writer but with so many songs written in the same key it impresses me that kirk could come up with creative and fresh solutions to putting solos together. Is all his work amazing, no, but few people's are but my hats off to him and metallica who inspired a legion of shredders...even though Dave invented thrash and wrote half the 1st 2 albums!!! : )

I asked the same question to a guitar technician and he told me the original (not liscenced) floyd rose made by schaller uses superior material, he did say though that another excellent tremelo system is the edge pro which is actually not really a floating tremolo system but looks and behaves similiar to one, you should check out how they work and are, its cool

I upped my game from RG to S prestige series... And the S5570 was my pick with dimarzio deactivator at the bridge, true velvet as a single coil and an evolution at the neck. I only used the infinities for a short while... VERY short XD... Will get soon an Egen18 too... I will keep the egen stock, since it has an axcellent pickup combination out of the box, and who needs 2 guitars that sound the same XD. Nice play dude :)
