Goodness they sound good. That was probably the best live performance of the Unforgiven EVER. Back in the early 90's James would sing it clean and it sounded sort of weak. Now his clean vocals are better and he adds some gain every now and then, and the constant switches between his acoustic and explorer are so precise. And KIRK! Holy cow! The man has still got it! No more sloppy solos! He nailed every sing note of every solo in this entire video. I have GOT to see them live.

San Diego '92 is the best, in my opinion. James's voice was WAY stronger, Lars wasn't as fill-happy, Kirk wasn't sloppy, and they had Jason on backing vocals. It didn't sound like Kirk nailed it to me, but there's no way I can give you my ears, so that doesn't mean much to you.

@@DenSvartaStjarnan I feel some metallica fans have been blinded by their love of the band that they can do no wrong. I was the same way, still a fan but man the back up vocals, Lars' endless fills and Kirk's sloppy improvisations are way too obvious to ignore.

He's done it like that for a while. At least he sounds good on most other songs. Sad But True doesn't sound great, but we also can't forget how difficult that song and Unforgiven are to sing. I'm young, have quite a bit of experience, and I have trouble with it, so I doubt its going to get any better.

Hice vallas en 29 y el 30, estoy cerca del que tiene remera blanca en la valla... Mi debut viendo a MetallicA superó infinitamente mis expectativas... We have all these videos on youtube now and still 70% of people in the crowd feel the need to record half the show on their cell phones. I'm not talking about Argentina here, but the concerts I go to. I just don't get it. There should be a separate section for people who want to record, move them out of the way of people who actually want to listen and enjoy. In the tuning room, how the hell did James go from playing Master of Puppets to Whiskey In the Jar without tuning double flat or changing guitars?

Because he's a badass and if he was playing in standard he would just have to play power chords half a step down then the usual placement of the chords, for example whiskey is played in drop d, so when he's playing the main riff which goes 3 3 2 on the e string he would just play 2 2 1 as power chords on the e and a string, the numbers I put being the fret and where he would push down the e string hope that helped, and if you don't play guitar I'm assuming your completely lost

Jj George I play guitar... However, Whiskey uses a D power chord very frequently in the rhythm riff, and that chord is impossible to play in Eb. That's why I was so confused when het didn't change guitars yet the song still sounded great
