Yeah, the middle section of that song is one of the few places on the album you can clearly hear it. Blackened also has some audible bass. On the 30th anniversary box set, there's older mixes of the songs where the bass is a bit clearer, but most of them are instrumentals IIRC

Man, thank you very much for that. I always wondered which notes he played exactly. One question: is it possible to isolate the bass track from the other songs like Harvester and Frayed Ends?

No problem man, glad it is of use! And it might be possible, I will check if I can Isolate the bass from those tracks and the upload them. When I do them I will respond again to let you know. However, I am not sure if I will do them very soon since I had an injury and I cannot be on a desk too much time, but I will try to do it today or tomorrow so I don't waste much time.

Today I uploaded my attempt at isolating the bass from the song here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q3nYd3qVg5mhjdU I also tried doing it with Frayed but, it was even harder because of the guitars having different EQ settings. In Frayed, the Guitars are more boomy and the drums have more bass which makes isolation more trickier. The audio clip goes on mute sometimes because of fills on higher notes on the bass but mostly the bass line can be heard a little. Some people in youtube have also done maybe a better job at isolating it so it's also worth a search, but I hope that this video can be of use (especially to people to make and fix tabs, respect for them doing that for free).

Thank you! From what I can remember, it was a lot of EQ'ing, Low pass filter I believe, using the rough mix and the original mix. Then, I started comparing which had more bass at some parts, etc... Ended up using the rough mix and that's why it might be a bit longer than the original song/mix

So that's why whenever I put this track into audacity, it gets out of sync with the rest of the isolated tracks for no apparent reason The low eq thing makes a lotta sense - it explains why we get the big bass vibrations but we can barely hear the sound of the picking do you think you would be able to do something similar for Damage Inc?

Indeed, the guitars only and drums to my knowledge were from the remaster since the guitars stand out more than the original mix, and the drums most likely If you want to put them together, there is worth noting that the difference between the studio release and the rough mixes, is that there is a fade-in on the studio release however the rough mix is divided in two. The Acoustic intro/outro and the main song (distortion/clean interlude) are two separate tracks so that's something worth noting if considering mixing it and making sure it all gets in the correct timing As for Damage Inc., there are a few bass isolated tracks around on youtube. If I Isolated it in a way that's better sounding than the others (even if it's small difference) I'll make sure to reply back to the comment to let you know! Usually takes quite a bit of time to isolate *and* polish tracks since they always end up sounding very raw or muddy even more so than the end product most of the time
