I know KH has always said melodic solos are particularly hard for him to write compared to the fast flashy stuff. But I think some of his best work was these melodic solos. Not taking anything away from the fast flashy stuff but he has some beautiful melodic stuff

Agreed. Most of his best solos come from ballad like songs, Fade to Black, this, Unforgiven 1 and 2, Bleeding me. Also flashy stuff like One, RTL, Damage, AJFA,etc

Hey friend, when the solo is over, you play these 2 bars and then, you play directly and exactly the Vocal Bridge "fear of living on" from the beginning. You will find this riff again in the last solo. The drums make it change, but the riff itself is still the same. I hope it makes sense.
