How was lars playing all night. Your answer will decide if i see them again. There last concert was terrible for me like 6 yrs ago.
@F13_Zeo2 жыл бұрын
@@ugna2773 He never responded to you, but I'll give you an answer as I was also at both nights of the 40th Anniversary. Lars was in the best shape he's been in musically since probably 2000, that double bass is minimally altered, you could feel it in your chest in the building. He's also seemingly got a click now, which has helped him a TON. Makes the experience much easier to get into. James is, I think, still finding exactly how his voice sits post-rehab for the second time, but he's doing well. Honestly, the second night of the 40th he was VERY on it, and was doing very well. And of course, his guitar prowess hasn't ever changed in 40 years. Kirk seems to have made an effort to clean up alot of the solos. His biggest error wasn't not playing, it was just being sloppy while doing it right. On this song, as well as Shortest Straw on night 1, as well as Fade, Whiplash and S&D on Night 2, he was whooping all kinds of ass, it was great. Rob is and always has been an absolute bass machine, that will never change. You can't hear him too well, but when you can he is killing it and then some. His backing vocals however, have steadily improved. Spit Out the Bone was the best it's ever been at the end of night 1, mostly because he has come so far. He's no Jason, but good in his own right. Honestly, as someone who watches and listens to a TON of live Metallica content, I feel confident in saying this is probably the best they've been live since 2000. Everyone seems to have taken time in quarantine to go back, and really polish up their skills, and it's showing in the live shows. I'd definitely recommend catching them again now if they come your way. Hope all this helped!
