Been so interesting to observe James' personal journey on this current tour. From very publicly admitting to doubting himself to seemingly, over the course of a handful of shows, regaining his confidence and arguably sounding better than he has in many years. Genuinely inspiring. You can tell the rest of the band are feeling it too. It's the most I've seen Metallica enjoy themselves on stage since the early 90s.

Have you seen the World Magnetic Tour Mexico City DVD? They were on fire there as well (I was there! i..i). I guess after more than a year without live shows everyone was desperate to get back at it. Just saw Iron Maiden a month ago and they were ON FIRE!

I'm 17, this was my first ever Metallica concert. With a brilliant opening act from Royal Blood and an absolutely legendary show from the big band themselves, it will certainly not be my last! When Whiplash started playing in Florence this summer I was almost stampeded on by everyone rushing towards the stage they were so excited... I almost lost my backpack in the mosh pit that ensued, but I managed to retrieve it, even though I had ended up about 15 meters away from it. Fucking best concert of my life
