Idolatry is a grave sin that must be avoided because you are placing your soul on the wide path to eternal damnation in Hell if you don’t repent/receive forgiveness for your sins prior to death. Judas Priest has awesome music, just don’t make the band into idols. Peace!

I've always said that Point Of Entry has that classic British hard rock sound , it was a great album , then they took it to the next level. It was a great time to be in high school , all these legendary bands turning out iconic albums and tickets were $ 15 bucks. I wish I could do it all over again. 👍

The album that made me a metal fan. I was 13 and a friend of mine in school was so excited to tell me that Halford was back in priest. I didn't know who they were at the time, but I was happy he was happy. Later that week I was perusing through virgin megastores and I saw this album on sale. The cover looked so cool I had to buy it. The Hellion sounded so epic I was sold so quickly

I was at the US Festival at 13 years old. It was life altering and literally changed the trajectory of my life, helping me build personal confidence and later starting my own band, becoming a singer, recording hundreds of songs and performing well over a thousand shows. 1980-81-82-83 produced some of the greatest Heavy Metal albums of all time and set Metal on the path we all know and love today. Thank You Rob Halford!

I remember being a teenager in about '86 and seeing Screaming For Vengeance and Defenders of The Faith on LP at the public library. The covers were mind blowing. My mum let me and my brother check them out (there was a small charge for records) and we loved them. Best thing we'd heard since Maiden, played them both to death.

what was unique about SFV - the sound was perfection, rob's voice is some sci fi non-human. not one weak track. first time i heard it i though this sounded so different from anything else i had heard before. lucky that is the first Judas Priest album I heard. after that i was hooked. their best album by far. they never recaptured those heights and it is arguably impossible to.

in 1979 I was 14, my buddies and me had tickets to see van halen in our local community college gym in WA State. It got canceled and the promoter told us they had a couple other bands and to show up anyway. Turned out to be Judas Priest on the Hell Bent For Leather tour, opening for UFO. Hardest rocking concert ive ever been to. After that night we didnt give a rat about VH. I was in the front row leaning on the stage. I had a ring on, I tossed it up at KK and he wore it the rest of the show. It was a night we never forgot. It took 3 days for my hearing to return to normal. I'll never forget KK all dressed in black sporting that red flying V. A great night was had by all.....saw them 2 years later in Oakland, CA, they were much more famous and it was good, but not nearly as memorable as that night in 79....

One of my favourite albums this album got me hooked on priest. I saw them last live in Toronto November 2015 it was a memorable show I had a choice Priest or Maiden the Tickets were too expensive for Maiden they do not care if all their fans can afford the show any more Priest on the other hand was a half price show. But I can say Priest is Just as good live as Maiden I have seen them both several times and trust me Priest Gives you more than you paid for Live Maiden is just too big now for their fans and shoes

I was blessed to be in attendance at the first show of the Screaming For Vengeance tour. My bass player & I traveled to Bethlehem, PA to the Lehigh University Sports complex sat 4th row & experienced one of the most powerful live shows in my life. It was a small venue, a large gymnasium, sort of seemed to “fine tune” the show. I think that freedom to explore the stage and the crowd and reaction to the new album gave us an experience without limits. Even though I was in the forth row I got hit with Rob’s sweat multiple times. The guy was out of his mind, literally & vocally. And the band was incredible even though KK tripped, at one point, over a cord & fell on his ass. Later that tour saw them again here in CT, once again, legendary!!

Great insight with Rob. "You've Got Another Thing Coming" is all attitude and that attitude was a don't mess with me/us attitude and in a positive way, really. It was perfect for the time. Good thing Priest didn't go with the original title, "You've Got Another Pizza Coming" with the subject matter of pizzerias. In case someone wants to know, the pizza title is parody. "Screaming for Vengeance" is my favorite Priest Albums. The original title of "Screaming for Vengeance" was "Screaming for Pizza." Tried it at a pizzeria. Didn't work. Got kicked out. "Screaming for Vengeance" turned out to be a much better title for album and song.

I dunno what spurred-on this cross-genre mashup for me, but one day many years ago, out of the blue, I just started singing the lyrics to "?..Another Thing Coming" as though reinterpreted by Frank Sinatra, and the eureka bulb went off 'cuz I realized if you took those lyrics out of the context of a metal delivery and redid the music to a mid-century (the 20th, that is) jazz style, with Sinatra delivering the lyrics, the audience would totally buy it!!

Another "unreleased" song would be The Hellion, IIRC according to Metal Works, this was originally a full song which was then edited down to be just the intro to Electric Eye. All this unreleased stuff is super annoying, these guys really need a competent curator of the vaults to put out a proper box set that doens't just regurgitate the already released stuff, AKA the albums. Which any hardcore fan (who would invest in a boxset) already has anyway. The SfV leftovers, Turbo sessions, SAW stuff...

That's true, I'm so happy The Hellion was never made into a full length song

I was maybe just 10 or twenty ft away from Glenn Tipton at the US festival. I got into a staredown with Glenn and guess who won hahaha Glenn!

It's often the case that the last minute knockoff song winds up the big hit, like Paranoid.
