Every time you listen to a Rob Halford interview you see just how humble and thankful he is. Wealthy and in the Metal community he is on the metal Mount Rushmore. There are so many legendary bands but nobody has done more. Sabbath kicked it off but Priest took what Sabbath done and continued going with such power for decades. I’m a huge fan of Richie Faulkner. His impact and talent shines.

I can't believe it's been 45 years since I first heard Judas Priest. Been one of my favorite bands ever since. Rob Halford is such a powerhouse on stage and such a soft-spoken gentleman offstage.

The very first concert I ever went to in my life was Judas Priest in Duluth Minnesota 1983 right about the end of January, there was a blizzard and me and my friend hitchhiked, but we got a ride there and back from the same people because they were going also, and I was blown away at how good they sounded live in tune on time and loud… The screaming for vengeance tour…. It was a fabulous concert

Curious thing happened in my life and it`s about Judas Priest. Imagine, just January 1st or, ok maybe January 2nd whatever, my older brother bought his first vinyl "Defenders of the faith" in his life he was 16 actually. Probably, that`s why i fell in love with MUSIC as a pure beauty, art! Rob`s singing always impressed me deeply, My best JP is about this period and of course 2 in1978> Unleashed in the East was next in a 6 months.....etc. Best wishes to Rob from Kyїv/Славка Україні. Героям теж!

I love Iron Maiden.but Born in end of '70 and in 80 exploded. Not only Classic metal . Per modern Power metal band. Inspired many moeern band. Respect to Rob and Priest . Glenn Tipton never give up.🤘

When maiden 1st toured with priest there was alot of friction. KK didn't like them and said they were arrogant. It was mainly dianno. I think this was the killers album tour where they opened for priest a few shows.
@yahow92975 ай бұрын
Not that few, around 35. it was for a month and half. They opened for almost the entire Priest's tour in the USA, minus in May, when Maiden was finishing their European leg and then went for Japan. And they would eventually opening again for 2 months like they say in the video one year later.

Listening to SFV the other day, I could hear how it would've influenced Anthrax, Metallica and Megadeth. Anthrax 1st album is pretty much 'variations on a theme of SFV' from memory - and that's not a criticism.

Sorry Rob but Screaming for Vengeance was an incredible masterpiece forever but Painkiller really embarrassed me as a fan. It literally sounds like you guys were forced to try to emulate the trends of the Thrash times and it ended up just sounding nothing like the Heavy Metal heroes I adored.
@lukanovak14922 жыл бұрын
lmao wtf are you talking about... Ig its not the album you like, but you saying that it sounded nothing like heavy metal sounds idiotic
@deantodd81032 жыл бұрын
But the song "Screaming For Vengeance" was borderline thrash metal itself. One year before Metallica released Kill 'Em All. Personally I love Priest's more radio friendly songs like "You've Got Another Thing Coming" and "Breaking The Law," AND thrashier songs like "Screaming For Vengeance," "Painkiller," and "Blood Stained" (from Tim "The Ripper" Owens' debut with the band). I guess the bottom line is that for me, Judas Priest is just good all the time. 😊
@DGinNC2 жыл бұрын
That's what makes Judas Priest unique, their catalogue covers nearly every genre of hard rock/metal. My personal favorites are Defenders and British Steele. But throughout their catalogue they have never stopped evolving and innovating.
