I've seen that show, particularly the bonus round where you had to make 21 in 3 different hands to win the grand prize. Very rarely did people win that round.

Same here, especially if you have 15 or 16. You always have to assume the dealer's hole card is a 10, and you're close to 21 already but not close enough to have a good chance. Too bad this game doesn't offer the late surrender option, which means you can surrender your hand and only lose half your bet as opposed to your full bet. Basic strategy says to do that where it's offered if you have a 15 or 16 against a dealer 10.

MetalSmasherGaming that's right, and it's still difficult even if you have a 12 or 13 because that's bustable as well. Also, even if you get blackjack, you can still lose if your hand takes more cards to get to 21 than the dealer. I learned that when I played the original Clubhouse Games on my 3ds XL.

@@johnbakasmoothhotchocolate Blackjack is not the same as 21. Blackjack is two cards making 21 only. That hand will almost always win.

Basically, you have to get your hand as close to 21 as possible without going over. Dealer hits (takes another card) at 16 and everything below, and stands on 17 and everything above. If you beat the dealer, you win your bet. If you bust (go over 21) or have a lower hand than the dealer, you lose. If the dealer busts, everyone at the table who hasn't busted themselves wins. Aces go both ways, they can be either 1 or 11 (so A-7 could be either 8 or 18).
