@@harshamnsl7208 Yep Grius has voice lines for every Archetype lineage in the game. For the PC version there is a mod that lets you add him back to your party for the rest of the game. (Only appears in dungeons and battles though). I uploaded videos showing the mod off.

Honestly these were probably just placeholders to make sure the game doesn't crash, like whether or not it was intended for everyone to be able to use Prince, I really doubt that Grius was ever going to live past the opening act

@@SonicKurosaki I think the only reason Grius got voice lines for all the archetypes was because of New Game Plus mode where you could carry over your MAG. Everyone having unique lines for the Prince archetype is probably because at some point in development it wasn't exclusive to the main character.

@@HiddenAdept Without confirmation from the developers, we can't know for sure, but I think Prince is too specific to let anyone be able to use it (maybe it was called "Ruler" or "King/Queen" earlier in development?)

@@HiddenAdept I'm personally thinking that the original idea was that while everyone would have had access to a 'Ruler' Archetype, it's abilities would be different for each character - and then they made them Royal X for everyone except the hero.

@@VaatiOfDarkness True, though it seems they had the voice actors record lines for every archetype regardless of exclusives. Like every character has voice lines for the royal archetypes they can't use. Also Grius having lines for all of them as well.

Is the game modded, is that really just a completely new portrait that goes normally unused? Maybe originally instead of everyone getting royal archetypes everyone would just get a more generic version of prince?

@@idk-ov9ohYeah the unused portraits are kind of weird they exist but far less polished., Also saw this with the unused archetypes for Grius with the hack to keep him alive. This isn't really a mod but using Cheat Engine to hack the game to add Prince as an archetype to all the characters.

This is possible using Cheat Engine with the PC version of Metaphor. Let's you set any character in your party to any Archetype in the game. Grius is back in the party thanks to a mod.

@@evelynryuichi46 I've seen this in other games too where voice lines that were recorded go completely unused. It must have originally been planned that every party member could use every archetype.
