I notice you are holding the fibres back. I seen on another video where they said not to do this as that is why the wool is going onto the smaller roller.

+Pedro Kerley YOu're right! We made this video when we first started carding, then learned that you do not hold the fibers back. In fact, holding onto the fiber will make the fibers jam onto the first drum. Just fluff the fiber and get it ready to go, then run it through the carder!

Why would you card the fleece first and then......card the fleece? That seems like...?? twice the work? Why hold the fleece? Let the carder do the work. Is that not why you built it?
