Do you think this would work on buffalo horn? One person said it's American buffalo another says it's water buffalo

Those look really nice! Any idea how they would have worked this into nearly transparent sheets in the 14th century? ie, hornbook covers? I'm looking into the resources you showed also. Thanks.

Hi Sarge Hawks. I read about this years ago and as far as I know, they boiled the horn till it de-laminated, pressed the sheets flat and they then used the flattened sheets for book covers, lamp glasses, etc.

hi I bought some ox horn combs and they arrived from UK a little bit warped. Is there any way to do micro-adjustment to the warping? The comb if you look at it like a sword blade has the tip bent to left side, about 2 mm. It is functional but just annoying to me on the aesthetic level.
