St. Paul in Cor 10:26 exhorts his disciples not to eat food, that someone declares openly that it has been offered to idols. The same St. Paul often railed against Jewish food treaditions and Customs. Jesus often violated the food traditions of the Jews as he dined with commoners and Gentiles. It is not the food but the idol worship that causes the problem. If one is very hungry and the only food that is available is that offered to idols, won' t you eat it? The Bishop wrnt to the Temple festival with his own official vestments and the people welcomed him as a Christian bishop and as a member of the community he was in concordance with the masses. He was not in " private" attire as to hide his presence and was not worshipping the idol. Those who offer discordant views have a narrow reading of the Bible.

I don't think what the Bishop did is a sinful act. It is always desirable to respect others and their worship places which they consider as secret. Important thing is whether we Christians live a life pleasing to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Our visit to any temples or mosques will not stop us from entering eternity with the Lord. Not visiting worship places of other religions will not qualify any of us for the ultimate status of being with Lord. We should learn to love and respect others. Let's not enter into unnecessary debates and discussions to divide the society.

Instead of 32 min to beat around the bush, in less than 5 min, you could have given a precise YES or NO on the issue. After raising a hypothetical question, you are trying to answer that.
