I enjoy this view! I have taken the Southwest Chief and California Zephyr out of Chicago and back dozens of times with only the view out the side windows. So this was awesome to see the drivers view of the racetrack! I think if I was the engineer the bell would drive me crazy after a few months!

I finally found a Metra video where the bell is not constantly ringing. It was great!

No, cause the video quality is only 1080p, should be 8K60fps.

For everyone wondering why the 🔔 is always going off well some metra lines are in a no horn zone meaning the driver cant use the horn all the time

What's with that bell ringing non stop the entire trip ? Can you imagine riding in the front half of that car every morning ? That's insane !
@oct197.5 ай бұрын
@@samlbrown6665 There's lots of crossings... and it's all quiet zones. It might also depend on the engineer.

I actually find the bell relaxing while watching the ride, although it's weird for me that it has to be used on crossings with gates and lights. Thanks for sharing. Greetings from Germany.
@oct197.8 ай бұрын
Since they can't use horns on this line, the bell is the best bet at crossings so people can hear it. Nice to see someone from another country!

@@j-bird1778 I would assume it's because all of the crossings, but he might have just forgot to turn it off after leaving stations or crossings.

that train driver must be deaf with that bell going all the time i would have if it was on my trains i used to drive here in england at 125mph [HST]---if it was not bell ringing all the time would have been good to watch but it ruins the video so a thumbs down for me

The engineer is far enough where it doesn't bother him. Sorry you didn't like it but it's out of my control
