Dude, this was my favorite bit in the song. I think there should have been 2 more lines after it to finish it instead of just continuing with normal tune. It sounds so fucking good. (this is random: Am I the only one who visualizes themselves actually surviving the apoc? I mean, that line right there describes how you feel in a situation turning hopeless, and I know it bc I've been there.)

Hektur it’s even better when you think about what they put there, they don’t trust those monsters(it’s been forever since I played exodus so I don’t remember their names) if you get the good ending it’s shown that they actually only want peace and don’t necessarily want to harm humans, but humans don’t trust them, the “angels”, because they are surrounded by all the other monsters, the “demons” that inhabit the underground. 2:09

This song is dark, yet beautiful And in some way, in the world of metro, there's gotta be some light at the end of all this darkness. This song captures that feeling perfectly. When you lose all faith in god, keep some faith in yourself so you can give your loved ones a tomorrow. Edit: also, Andrea: Anna Jt: Artyom.

The sky in comin'down All of us fallin'-out I walk a path untrodden Tracks so long forgotten Imprisoned underground Cuz this is all we've found But i'll break out this coffin You can't keep me locked in Cold and dark - scared of breathing Frozen heart - barely beating For the fallen, shed no tears, unless you've done your share of your bleeding Shadows creep in on winter breezes, feeling hypothermic Face your demons, as you seek a means to find the surface In my dreams, i get there And i can feel the fresh air No, we don't have a home, Inside these winding catacombs There's more to life than despair I'm looking back on this path that we've paved I gotta ask, are we digging our grave? An open casket won't be here, in my case - numbered days, pull up my mask and hide the fear on my face Hide the fear on my face But what's behind the fear on your face? When you've lost all, faith in god Keep some faith in me Desperation cannot break our bond Now we'll take our leave We walk on broken halos, it only stands to reason We don't believe in angels, when all we see are demons Beware the beasts that haunt these halls Human is the cruelest of them all Monsters of our making rising up from hell And in time, you may find one within yourself I've watched my people die, nothing i haven't seen, i keep my pockets lined with clips and magazines The world is on my shoulders although i won't buckle, cuz there might be a light at the end of the tunnel The sky in comin'down All of us fallin'-out I walk a path untrodden Tracks so long forgotten Imprisoned underground Cuz this is all we've found But i'll break out this coffin You can't keep me locked in When you've lost all, faith in god Keep some faith in me Desperation cannot break our bond, now we'll take our leave We walk on broken halos, it only stands to reason We don't believe in angels, when all we see are demons We don't believe in angels, when all we see are demons We don't believe in angels, when all we see are demons Why does that sentence in the song, is one of the characters religious?
@MWGScorp5 жыл бұрын
@@HuyGia-wp5tx No, but in post CCCP countries people are very religious. The protagonist is actually an agnostic atheist. Thing is in dark enough times you can lose your belief in a loving god, I think the argument from evil is weak (argument from nonbelief destroys Christianity), but this happens. In these games you are in a very dark world, post apocalyps, so it's not odd to imagine many people no longer believe in god when nuclear war doesn't bring the rapture. The alternative is to believe rapture happened and if you lived you didn't make the cut, but few people would believe they were simply not good enough...
@MWGScorp5 жыл бұрын
Atheism is often seen as a dark truth, and it is. In the games you learn of the dark truth of reality in many ways, some very personal and traumatic. So its about living in the dark (atheism and nihilism) finding that in the end, the only light is carried by your fellow man, its hard to trust many people in the games...but as someone who (SPOILER) ends up redeeming humanity, it makes sense to say "have some faith in me"

The song was amazing. The clips were great. The lyrics got really close to the story of all the Metro games. The music was awesome. I loved it!
