Excellent video. First time I have seen this one. Right at the end of the video, I noticed on two occasions that the doors opened on the non platform side ... why would they do that ... if someone wasn't paying attention and inadvertently walked out, they would fall to track level ... I just found that very odd! Thanks for sharing and posting.

I wanted to elaborate a bit on the opening of this line. When I lived in Arcadia. I was about 11 years old and every Saturday morning I would rise at 5AM and ride my bike to see the El Capitan, the Chief and the Super chief run through Arcadia toward Pasadena. Most the the power was ABBA F units, On occasion there was an ABA PA which was very exciting. However one morning I saw the only one Santa Fe Had, a Fairbanks and Morse Erie built ABA with it`s different sound pulling the Super Chief into Pasadena-Los Angeles. I can remember it as clearly as if were yesterday. It was magic. I was standing at the little depot built by Lucky Baldwin just north of the tracks along Colorado Blvd to get a good view. Wow to go back to those days.

+Snuffy's Cat Productions I agree. We have lived here almost 40 years. Of course, my home town of Alhambra has changed as well. The San Gabriel Valley isn't the same as it was 70 years ago. I stopped at the Post Office (by the station) this morning about 10 AM, didn't have any mail and didn't go back today. I figured there was a big crowd and I had other things to do.
