Metro making progress on return of train automation | NBC4 Washington

Metro’s push to get trains back in a computer-controlled automatic mode is taking another major step forward. Transportation Reporter Adam Tuss spoke with the general manager about why this switch to automation is a major change.

Worth noting the computer controlled train went into the back of a manually controlled train that had stopped on the wrong part of the platform.

The whole stopping ato after the crash was stupid to because either way the drivers are reading the same signals the train does and so the crash would still have happened.
