I don't think people fully appreciate how amazing this video is in terms of how improbable it was to make captures like this for the time period. Wala pa consumer dashcams. Wala pa cellphones that could take videos. Mahal pa mga digicam nito and they had very little storage. Your only option was a DV cam, pero challenge to keep it stable inside a vehicle because no one used it for this purpose back in the day. Then of course, there's also the fact na tinatapon na natin mga tapes thinking na it has no value anymore, even moreso with those who could typically afford this setup. Kudos to the channel owner for being able to keep this footage preserved!

BGC was a giant park that was great for family outings back in 2004. People would fly kites, have picnics, play outdoor sports, and relax with their families and friends. I still remember 2004 back then, Taiwan TV shows were dying, and the rise of Korean TV shows. My last 14 birthday was in the Philippines before I moved to the USA in 2005. I still remember playing with my friends meeting up at the computer shop and playing Ragnarok and MU or Counter-Strike. Halls candy was 3 for 2 pesos Na kakamis ang childhood ko. Last year was the 1st time Ko visited Sa Pinas in almost 20 years. I asked myself felt this was not my home when I revisited there but changed everything when hangout with my childhood friends. I felt alive. Things around change in the Philippines but the joy and love of family members and friends is still the same. Mabuya!!

This is very nostalgic! This video is literally my childhood because from 1999-2004 I lived in west rembo scene 5:30 - 6:30 and moved to C5 Taguig till 2006 scene 7:14 - 9:00 now the rest of the video is where my life revolves now. I live in BGC around 5th Ave near scene 12:38 and that 3-block sculpture called "Transformation" on the left is still there and now I currently work in Pasig, Emerald Ave scene 23:46 and usually walks to valle verde to get a ride to home scene 1:55
I thought that 3-block sculpture was made like 10 years ago. It looks very modern even up to this day.

My parents always talk about how these now high-end and well developed places looked quite different back then. I was born in April 2004 and it makes me strangely happy to see the Philippines as my parents saw it when I was a kid. I was too young to really remember anything of this time in the Philippines and we moved abroad in 2008, only recently returning in 2020, so I know nothing of what this country used to be like in the 2000s and 2010s. They said they'd often take me to BGC, specifically Market Market, to play. I can only imagine this is what I saw in my childhood when my dad would drive us around in the FX that was our family car.
