Bombardier Shoreliners, FL9s, Budd Metropolitans - it doesn't get much better than that! Thanks for the video, I enjoyed it and wow, has that station changed a lot over the years...

I remember the Metro North trains when I started kindergarten back in 1997 when I lived in Craft Avenue in Bronxville

I remember when my grandpa told me about coming to nyc between 95 and the early 2000s before 9/11 happened. It’s so amazing seeing nyc like this in the 90s, especially Metro-North with old EMD F units and the budd cosmopolitans

Love whoever was playing one of my top 5 favorite Busta Rhymes solo joints from the 90s @ 6:00 (So Hardcore) one of J Dilla's earliest beats [R.I.P.]. I was somewhere either cutting class or planning on who I was gonna take to prom somewhere at that time bumping that When Disaster Strikes album on my yellow walkman.

Always neat seeing the classic American built Budd Cosmpolitan and Metropolitan equipment in action. Those trains were built for durability. I wonder if the new M8's will last as long? Also sweet seeing the FL9s as well.

+ACLTony I was just reading the MTA Capital Program and it mentions that the M-8 cars are greatly exceeding their required performance standard for Mean Distance Between Failures.

That's positive news. I'm still skeptical about long term durability. The older trains from the 70s had much simpler mechanical, electrical, and electronic technology. Modern transit buses and MU trains are complex. They're built with efficiency in mind, but in the longer term when major technological components and assembly groups wear out it eventually becomes more cost effective to just replace the vehicle itself. So with the new generation of equipment that's been in transit service since 2000, the days of equipment lasting 25 years in service are gone.

For the Metro North Diesel the New Haven F3 AA Diesel Sets have to be in a boxed set
