Great stuff Ross. Plenty of action there and Barking is a busy station which is great to see. Nice to catch both 357008 and 016 shame 318 hasn't turn up by the time you were there but either way nice to see colas rail 37s on the test train and 6 freight trains as well. Thats a good question. All of the London Underground lines use what are called train descriptions to track trains. When a train runs to a set service pattern (A diagram) this has a number, 275 for example. Everytime this train reaches its destination whether in service or not, the trip number (starting at 1) will increment (add 1) so for example: Train 275/3 is the third trip train 275 is in the process of completing. You can see all of the train describers on the Working Timetables on the TfL website and they are always displayed on the front of trains (usually on a orange LCD screen). I hope this helps your understanding.

The LU Information mostly stems from the LU WTTs on their website. This was supplemented with some help from a friend in TfL. Sorry I can’t help any further.

I asked the barriers, and they refused me access, giving me a whole lecture about permission and how I need to write to c2c in order to film here. To an extent, the Station Supervisor claimed the Guidelines that I presented to him only apply to the London Terminals and not onto here, which I thought was bogus of him to think off, not to mention the rude security guard on the platform, which I would rather not get into. Nevertheless, I decided to split my visits into multiple sessions and I was able to film, and interestingly no staff were an issue later on. So, a happy ending, nevertheless! :)
