I took a ride on one of the new 730/0 units back in April this year And despite the teething problems with the doors on these units they were fresh out of the box to displace the 323s on the cross city line

I personally believe the 323s still had time in this region especially if they had had a full refurbishment. Unfortunately, the low lease costs of the 730s sealed the fate of these units. Some of them have been stored (all of the units in this video) and it’s unclear what the plan for these is.

Not a knock on you, this video is shot incredibly well, but I had to take a look back at the 90s as the railway feels so steralised now. If anybody wants their hair to stand on end, Dundee station in 1990. That's 1 busy station, a must visit on my list. Can I ask do you need permission to trainspot from network rail & is it easy to navigate around the station. Thank you. 😊

You have to sign in at customer services but as long as you call yourself a trainspotter, they will give you full access and through all barriers. Access is fairly simple with 3 walkways between all platforms. Enjoy!

Did Avanti West Coast run Class 221 Voyager trains from London Euston to Shrewsbury before it was stopped. Maybe Avanti West Coast could reinstate the London Euston-Shrewsbury service and to use the Class 805 Bi-mode trains.

There is no "158/8" or "158/7" subclass. 1588xx and 1587xx numbered units are of subclass 158/0. It's because all Sprinters share the same vehicle (carriage) numbering system.

That’s a very good point and you are of course absolutely right. Believe it or not, I have actually had the reverse of your comment previously ‘why isn’t ‘158/7’ in the description’ so I changed the ‘158/0’ to ‘158/7 and /8’. I will change it back but make some amendments to make it clearer. Thank you for being so vigilant!

i think there should be a law where the cardiff to manchester and north wales services have to be 5 coaches minimum cus 2 3 and 4 coaches are unexceptible these trains are packed a lot of the time
