The Female Nosalis prior to becoming the rhino is a creature that controls the hunt by ultra sonic frequencies. Using her ability to disorientate prey, she gives the males a better chance at completing the hunt. But how and why has she evolved the way she has and how does her sonic ability work? Lets find out!

I kinda have a theory. There's only one dominant female Nosalis right? So i think they have a system similar to bee's where select females are groomed to become potential alphas, and at a certain stage they enter a kind of death match. So the one who's left standing is the next alpha. I'm assuming the previous one has either died or is getting ready to do so.

It depends on the bee species though. Apis mellifera mellifera and apis meliffera carnica for example don't battle for supremacy, but unless the previous queen is about to expire will leave the hive upon reaching sexual maturity, mate with roughly 30 drones from various hives in the region, gather part of their old swarm and then leave to form a new hive.

**little known fact** in Metro 2033 the winged Nosalis was black and had big dark black eyes. In the book Metro 2033 the dark ones were small featureless creatures with big black eyes. Original fans of the series believe the original conception of the dark ones was suppose to be the black winged nosalis. But the developers later changed the dark ones to look more humanoid.

cool idea i thought up on why the sound waves look green: the sound waves aren't actually green, but the sound waves shake your eyeball/retina enough that light patches appear due to nerve reactions. I am guessing this because last time I got my eye hit really hard, there were a lot of color due to the shock it recieved, so maybe thats why these sonic waves in games have "colors" its not the waves being colored, but our nerves being wobbled, that causes the color to appear

I initially disagreed with you the nosalis being shrews, but you convinced me. I didn't know about the echolocation of shrews, but your hypothesis makes more sense than other creatures evolving this exact trait. What I do maintain is that the star nosed mole is the cutest nightmare fuel on the planet. Yes, something can be cute and nightmare fuel at the same time. Also, don't get punched in the ear, a lucky hit will leave you deaf by exploding your eardrum, especially with gloves/palm strikes. Nowadays it's more common due to the prevalence of gloves, which can seal the ear airtight, forcing all the pushed air into the ear canal. While technically a KO, most sporting events will penalize the ear striking fighter for causing permanent unnecessary damage, so if your preferred combat sport doesn't utilize ear protection AND uses full contact rules, I'd strongly suggest reconsidering your choice of sport. It's fine if it doesn't utilize the full boxing gloves tho. Also, if you see your sparring partner lying on the floor screaming, covering his ear, turn him around to make it so that his bleeding ear is towards the ground, forcibly if you have to. He'll thank you later. This allows the blood to pour out from his ear canal and makes it easier to clean it and make a cleaner wound, lessening infection chance and raising the chance of his eardrum healing over time. However, sometimes the adrenaline is so high that they simply don't notice but you can see the blood trickling down on the side of his head. Stop the fight immediately.
