This is great. Raúl Juliá was larger then life in the Addams Family and that’s how I know him, I was born in 1983. Upon more research of him I’ve come to find he was just an all around phenomenal actor and man. Wow. Also I noticed some faint physical similarities between him and Robert Downey Jr. when he was a young man. And both men are phenomenal actors and men. Men you can admire both for their amazing talent and who they are personally and where they’ve come from. Different lives yes but both larger than life and beautiful inside and out.

He was a great actor as well as a singer. I remember a year ago, I met the man who played lurch and we spoke about raul and how he was a wonderful man. Although, in his last movie STREET FIGHTER, a lot of people may not have liked it, but Raul's performance as the villain in the movie was outstanding and incredible. Sadly, he died not getting a chance to see his performance in the movie, but he knew how to act. And to this day, he's still sorely missed.

Raúl Juliá and another groundbreaking Puerto Rican actor, Juano Hernández, are buried at Buxeda Memorial Park, about 8 minutes from where I live in San Juan. My girls love his Addams Family films, and his presence as Harrison Ford's attorney in Presumed Innocent is one of the highlights of that movie. José Ferrer, Raúl, Juano, Rita Moreno, Henry Darrow, and more recently Jimmy Smits, Esaí Morales, Benicio del Toro and Lin-Manuel Miranda, they make me so proud, so happy and well represented by them ! 🇵🇷
