But Rundas is the merely one who take Samus as a comrade unlike other twos. Were there no Rundas, Samus would have been killed by Ridley.

They are still canon since *SPOILEEEEEER* Ridley appears with cybernetic enchancement in Metroid: Samus Returns. Also the official guide stablishes that the Metroids were put into extermination thanks to the constant abuse under the hands of the Space Pirates (this is an indirect mention of the Prime Series). Also the series were canon since the beggining, the first game happening 3 years after Zero Mission.

Spoilers for Prime 3. Man, remember when Prime 3 starts with a level in which you get to fight side by side a trio of cool other hunters, only to kick you in the guts by forcing you to fight them as they got corrupted. Only made that final fight versus Dark Samus all the sweeter. Sure, the Phazon suit was probably the ugliest of the Power suits.... game a bit too much of going back and forth to my taste, but goddamn was the atmosphere on point, and those control GOOOOOOODDDD!

This is amazing, great job! Rundas has always been one of my favorite boss fights in all of Metroid, simply 'cause of this stirring soundtrack he got (and come on, his design and voice are both brilliant). 4:37 reminds me a little of Kara's Theme of Detroit: Become Human, now that you added the piano, I dig it. Every cover of you that I have listened to so far is outstanding and fits the soundtracks so well, keep it up :D!

Rundas’ theme just sticks because you can just hear the sorrow and despair in it. He’s the one who seemed closest to Samus as an ally, and now we have to fight him. He’s not himself, since the phazon has corrupted him, but deep inside, he is hate himself for fighting a friend, as is Samus. And when you finally defeat him, it feels even worse.

Another Metroid song that would be awesome to hear would be the the Emperor Ing Boss Theme(s). The Emperor Ing has 2 boss themes and both are awesome, so if I had to pick one it would have to be the second boss theme where you face the Emperor Ing's "Final form." The one time I *believed* there's finally a *lasting* ally around the same level as Samus. My 1st playthrough, I *hesitated,* thinking that *Dark Samus* would show up at some point, so I could free the one character across the Prime games so far who remotely wants to be friends with me. Thinking it will trigger a scripted sequence like in *Super Metroid* when I have a certain amount of energy left, I realized what I have to do... I'll never forget how that felt.
