Rundas was litterally a child at heart. His innocence in believing that good would win so easily was tragically naive. It’s why he was the first to die. It’s a nod to the horror of reality. Rundas was a hero until the end he even committed suicide via icicles so he would not be used to hurt his friends.

My heart frozen with sadness, sorrow, depression for a 17 year old friend of mine who passed away earlier this year. He was the fire that kept my heart warm and full of happiness. Now that fire is…extinguished, has frozen over. I have never been the same since. Woulda been 18 years old a month or so after he…well you get the point. His passing hit me hard for someone as young as I. I’m not much older than he. I’m still processing the fact that he’s gone. I’ve been listening to Metroid Cinematica Recharged non-stop since it released publicly and this song is one of the standouts. Such a genius combination of Phendrana Drifts and the Rundas theme! This is truly the Definitive Edition of the album and I love all of the new tracks! I’ll be listening to it almost exclusively for the foreseeable future. Any updates on your Dreadful Symphony album? Rundas is my favorite character after Samus and Ridley. His death is so sad. To this day I wonder if he purposely impaled himself to stop himself being controlled, or was it dark Samus for failing or just an accident, lost control of his powers from hypermode. Great music!

Me thinks he regained his sanity for a brief moment. Realizing Samus was approaching him ..he wanted to spare her the pain of killing him. Or Dark Samus' power waned on him and he started to come to his senses and dark Samus didn't want to lose a valuable pawn -- forces him to impale himself and absorb him. Either way..Dark Samus didn't want Rundas to be saved by Samus and wanted to hurt her counter part even more.
