Metroid Prime Hunters All Cinematic Cutscenes

Metroid Prime Hunters is a first-person adventure game for the Nintendo DS. The game features a single-player campaign in which is set between the events of Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. There, players assume the role of bounty hunter Samus Aran as she investigates a mysterious message that originated from the Alimbic solar system
Metroid Prime Hunters takes place between Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and is set within the Alimbic Cluster in the Tetra Galaxy, where it was once ruled by the Alimbic race. One day, the Alimbic race disappeared without warning, leaving artifacts scattered throughout the solar system. In the present, the dormant Alimbic race telepathically broadcasts a message to bounty hunters and other intelligent species, stating the key to the "ultimate power" resides in the Alimbic solar system. The solar system consists of two planets (Alinos and Arcterra) and two space stations (the Celestial Archives and the Vesper Defense Outpost).

This to me was a good game but all the bosses except the hunters never were a challenge. Never ONCE did I lose any of those shards or crystals. The bosses were the same thing just reskinned and retooled.

Yeah it's too bad. The team wanted to keep the hunter designs similar so multiplayer gameplay wouldn't be too different from Samus. But as bosses, that makes them boring. The hunters in Corruption are much more unique because they're meant to be bosses and instead of just different colors of Samus

The introduction to Gorea looks like something taken out of a Lovecraftian story. That shot of the tendrils lifiting up the bounty hunters while the alien light bathes them is supremely bone-chilling, amplified by the terrifying music. Makes me wish this game had a remake, to witness this moment in glorious HD.

Yeah it’s a lot greater than whatever they were trying to do in Prime 2 with how “uncanny valley” it looked. I think Hunters is one of the better designs for Samus not only in the Prime games but overall throughout the series. It helps that these cutscenes were done by pre-rendered graphics too. If they were to have chosen one design to have stuck with it should have been this one. I don’t like how her look is always different in each game because that makes it very inconsistent. 7:44 She looks so pretty here and I just love the way she smiles too. Especially with that close up at 7:51 Asides from Prime 1 (which is another design I love) this is the most realistic she has ever looked. She isn't overtly sexualized or given a voluptuous form but rather she has a more slim figure. Her hair color looks like a more natural blonde as opposed to other games where it can look like an unnaturally bright yellow. I also like how her Zero Suit looks as well as it looks a lot more sleek with no details on it. It’s almost as if it was just a generic latex suit. It doesn’t even cover her hands either.

Prime 1 = Samus looks like a 40+ year old. Prime 2 = Samus looks hot. Hunters = Samus looks alright. Prime 3 = Samus looks like Prime 2 but worse.

My guess, Gorea didn't kill them. The shock from Gorea using its absorption ability on their weapons caused a negative feedback that rendered them unconcious. They only woke up minutes before Samus ended Gorea for good.

I just beat the game today and seeing that scene was just clearly telling me he got them with the thing meant to absorb their beams and considering all of that they were of course rendered unconscious right on the spot and left there until they had to run back to their ships before everything blew up after Samus defeated Gorea

Something that surprised me was that after finished the game, there were two cinematics that weren't unlocked in the movies menu. I can't think of what they could be or how to unlock them.

Hi. :) You "falsely" killed Gorea (and yourself), it's the "bad ending". The "good ending" is unlocked when you shoot at coloured shields in the Gorea's arena in that order : yellow, green, orange, bleu, purple, red. Then, you are warped to another arena and you can finally kill Gorea for good (and escaping the Oubliette (with the other bounty hunters)). I wish you a good game. ^_^

I got the reverse results. I did the good ending before finding out that there were 2 missing cutscenes. (Which was the bad ending)

@@computo2000 Something along the lines of this. In the good ending you drain Gorea's power, or the power it gained from the other hunters. You go into another arena and get the final weapon. The omega cannon, and you use it to kill Gorea. After killing Gorea, Samus sees the three Alimbics, the alien race mentioned in the lore scans throughout the game. I think it's implied that they intervene and teleport you back to your ship.

Thank you for this. This game is so not worth playing through. I got half-way before I got tired of dealing with the identical boss and mini-boss fights, the bland level design and the imo terrible controls. Now I can just watch this and move on with my Metroid binge. I'll come back to the game eventually, but damn, it's just genuinely unpleasant to play.

I just figured this out, as a kid I thought the alien race came out of their hideout and literally greeted Samus on her way out, but this is impossible because she is floating in space without wearing her suit, which would kill her. What is actually happening is that Samus is imagining that the aliens would appreciate her for what she did, while inside her spaceship.

Maybe not imagining but more so a vision from the Alimbics as throughout the game they can talk to you telepathically so it would make sense that they communicated with Samus through a vision at the end thanking her for destroying Gorea

No. The alimbics in order to keep gorea in prison had to sacrifice their mortal forms and Become nothing but essences. (It's one of the lore you can find that explains that) so after samus beats gorea, the alimbics reveal themselves to samus to thank her, for their sacrifice were not in vain.

The main pfoblem i have with this game is from what I've heard its not all thay fun because the while stylus thing with platforming elements. Its fine fir kid icarus uprising but not for metroid. Also a lot of the game is just the one to copy paste multiplayer maps in single player. Austin aside from the final boss there is only two bosses in the game with slight differences again copy paste content. The only cool thing about it is the hunters and their back story which is actually in the manual but not in the game. If you actually want to look up their backstory actually have to go on the wiki. The whole thing where sometimes you actually have to hunt them down if they tell you and take your MacGuffins is kind of cool. You will run into them occasionally but their AI is kind of crap. The DS was not exactly built for first person shooters.

Maybe you should have played the game before typing this comment. The scanning mechanic was in the game, and you could get info about the hunters using it (where do you think the wiki info came from, none of the other hunters are in any of the other games besides a single cameo) . And the first person shooting mechanics on DS worked very well, and the "copy paste multiplayer maps" were locations from the story, not the other way around. The game was extrememly popular back in the day (I know cause I myself was 5 star rank in multiplayer and 100% the game, including both endings and all scans) tl;dr shut the fuck up you have no idea what you're talking about

A little late but I’m actually playing through it on an emulator atm with a drawing tablet. Using a full size pen on an area about 3x the size of a DS touch screen helps immensely with the controls, as well as being able to map buttons. With movement on WASD, jump on shift, and shoot on spacebar, it feels pretty good. I think it’s great for what it is; a 5-hour Prime lite
