This is arguably one of the most memorable, otherworldly, angelic pieces from Metroid Prime. And you didn't just capture it or cover it, Evelyn. You made it your own and created a beautiful arrangement that more than stands on its own while evoking the beautiful, frozen drifts of Phendrana, filled with beauty and danger alike. Bravo.

Metroid Prime's quality as a game is the living proof of what happens when game designers decide to add quality music in their 3d games.

Never played Metroid Prime, but this song sound beautiful like I'm on top of a mountain over the clouds looking over the world like a god. Peaceful and reserved, but a feeling of isolation sits in the back of my mind.
@sodasaintcommentaries40544 жыл бұрын
That's not too far from the evironment itself. Phendrana drifts is located in a high, mountanous region of Tallon IV, ever-snowing and dotted with Chozo ruins. You know the music is good if you get an idea of what it's supposed to invoke and you've never even played the game. :)
@damir_van_kalaz4 жыл бұрын
@@sodasaintcommentaries4054 Not just the environment, but the tone. He said it gives him a feeling of isolation, and that's exactly the point. Samus is almost always completely alone on a dangerous alien world, which Metroid Prime especially did a fantastic job of conveying through its soundtrack, and this version succeeded in staying true to that.

The music for Phendranna Drifts sounds like it could’ve been in a level from Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Good shit, man. I use a lot of game OSTs to score DND games with friends, your rescoring makes it more thematically appropriate for a pseudo medieval-setting so I'm immediately saving this. The Skytown theme would also be amazing.
