Randøm Blue Tøad You know, I loved Lords of Shadow, but it did have issues. Mercury Steam got a lot of hate from that series alone, and I read some people saying they'll probably pass on this because MS is developing it, but after about 3 hours of play time, it's such a great game. The music, controls, atmosphere, it's all there. I'm glad Samus has returned.

Man this trailer is already nostalgic for me. Samus Returns was the first Metroid game I played through and it made me a Metroid fan. One of the best Metroid games and 3DS games in my opinion. I’m so glad that Nintendo put faith back in Metroid with Samus Returns which led to us getting Dread this October. I’m so excited for the future of the franchise and Samus Returns is the reason why!

There is no way they will make a virtual console of 3ds. In the first place, emulation of 3ds is hard and even modern pcs have a hard time doing it. Secondly, switch has 1 screen. I just cant see it playing 3ds. Lastly, they will never make a direct competition to its own line of consoles.

Thank you Nintendo and Sakamoto-San! It so awesome that he now has his imprint on Metroid 2 as he was not a part of the original Metroid 2 on Gameboy. Thank you MercurySteam for killin it and breathing life back into good ol' 2D Metroid as it been too long! As a fan since 1987, they did it right especially with how the took this diehard fan of 2D Metroid games and did such a fantastic twist on what the new 3ds 3D visuals can do for this game! One could only hope they would do another title like this but base it off of a Super Metroid remake. :)

mariosonickirby1 I mean in all fairness, Super Metroid needs a remake far less than Metroid I and II did. Super Metroid still hold up today, while Metroid I and II have aged poorly. Plus they would just get tons of backlash for anything they changed in the remake. Next 2D Metroid should just be Metroid 5, which could either be an original game in Super Metroid style or a new game in Fusion style depending on what they want to make.
