Truly the best game I played back on the Wii U. I sank so many hours into exploration, level grinding and earning my Skell. This is a dream come true and I can't wait to return to Mira and enjoy this gem of a game all over again. Torna and Future Redeemed take place before 2 and 3 respectively, however they are very spoilery and heavy handed in regards to the main game, so I recommend playing 2 before Torna and 3 before Future Redeemed. TL;DR, just play in order of release, but note that X takes place outside of the timeline (unless X DE has extra content to clarify)

I'm so happy that they are bringing this over to Switch. Xenoblade 2 was my first Xenoblade I played, and I finally have a chance to play this one. Also, I went back and looked at when this game was first revealed for the Wii U when it was known as X. The reveal trailer after 11 years had 1.3 million views. This hasn't even been a full week and is already over 1 million. It's great to see that more people are interested in the Xenoblade series now!

Not just interested, but there is a way bigger player base in general now. far more people own a switch. However X is a _very_ different beast compared to the other xenoblade games. We don't know how substantial the added story elements are--implimenting online cut a lot of development time from the main story originally. So if you notice and wonder why the main story feels incomplete and has too many unswered questions, that's the reason. Realistically though, i think the only story elements that might get added to the base game are implicative design changes. Then the epilogue will only be as big or as long as future connected. I really hope it's not that bare minimum and takahashi was able to put in the rest of the cut story content throughout the game as well as finishing what comes after the infamous cliff hanger.

Though again, the pattern is that big N during all of the switch cycle used to port all of its wii u titles that back then were big, were positively reviewed and were selling well on the system. Yeah, WW/TP are originally the gamecube titles, but when they wii u ported the hype was real. Big N even released a WW themed wii u. So my take is, there are still some chances for switch port. Same goes for Yoshis wolly world that a guy from above have mentioned.
