Imagine hearing this in Metroid: Dread - Edit: Sad this theme never came back. Kraid fell from Grace in Dread. Going from this tyrant behemoth who had equal footing with Ridley in terms of leadership of the Space Pirates, to becoming a chained up experiment with no army and in complete solitary confinement. This theme should’ve played during the rooms before you battle Kraid, but instead of sounding awesome like this theme, it should’ve sounded more vague, and depressing. :/

There is something about Zero Mission that I really like. I can't exactly put it in words, just think of it as equivalent to Fusion's incredible atmosphere, the explorability of Super Metroid, this is literally the example of a remake done absolutely right. It took Metroid 1 and made it 10 times better.

@@Tiggster-qr8mw NES Metroid sucks. I tried playing it on Zero Mission (which I got on Wii U Virtual Console) and on NES Nintendo Switch Online, and I can’t even get to Kraid. It’s stupid that paths that are MANDATORY to progress or even get the Ice Beam are hidden in floors and walls that are indistinguishable. In Zero Mission, you’re way faster and can angle your shots around, so that isn’t as much of an issue. And the enemies are just dreadful. They just keep swarming you and never give you a chance to breathe. That’s probably the point, but when your character is too slow and fragile to properly fight back, it’s not fun!

Potato Nugget they're the whistles, the ones that you hear at the start and in the end. They're faster than the original theme and they're whistles so they're fast notes and they don't last much, also they're repeated a lot. The start of Carol of the bells also has the same notes (on different scales probably) but put in a different order

Hopefully we get Meta Kraid in Prime 4...or any Kraid for that matter. He last appeared in Zero Mission and we haven't seen him in 16 years. Kraid has been overshadowed by Ridley in terms of favourite bosses and not many people remember how creepy and difficult he was back in the original and especially Super Metroid.
