no can do. FRA requires the Rotems on both sides for safety. Unfortunately we will not see the bomb cabs on SCRX

@@KaiserofFreePrussia Some of these Bombardier cab cars are sitting at that one COASTER maintenance yard near Camp Pendleton, but can't the Metrolink sets have the bombardier cars in the middle? That's what COASTER does sometimes.

MrUp8444 Sorry I was screaming. It was just so surprising. But that was 617. I'm sure of it. Also, 617 isn't the one that locomotive 855 telescoped into. The car 855 telescoped into was coach#185. If you look at close-ups of the wreck, you might see the number. But anyways... there were two cars left intact after impact. 617 was the second car. It was undamaged in the collision.

Yes, that is most definitely 617. I wish they would preserve the whole car somehow, as it still hasn't returned as a deactivated blind coach yet. They already put it's bell on display somewhere.

Superbaddy4 Yeah, your right. They should have preserved the whole thing, rather than just the bell. And I know about the bell being on display.. The car is in storage now, at an unknown fate. Truly sad.

Now, looking back, I think I made a right choice to use 617 as the representative Metrolink Cab Car in that satirical skit video I uploaded back on July 25th where it depicts a CEM Cab Car (not a Metrolink Rotem Cab, but rather a GO Transit 300-Class Cab) posting on Twitter that he's going to play the new Fortnite Season and that Wendy Testaburger (I assume you know who that is) is the worst person ever, and as a result, all the Old Bombardier Cabs from all the railroads unite and form a riot and chase after the CEM Cab. 617 is among the crowd.

metrolink is taking their old cabs and converting them into coaches. they cover up the cab windows, take off the horn, lights, and reflectors, and now it's a coach. i've actually seen a few of these converted cabs being used as coaches because they're easy to spot

CP Cardiff i seen converted cab cars before and been on board car # 606 really all they did was get white covers to cover up the window or windows depending on which cab car it is and the lights and the cab area is still there the only thing they did was blackout the window where the can is and locked the cab door and also the door that connects car to car opens differently on these cars on the coaches they have sliding doors and on the cab cars there are doors that open inward and also the windows on the cab end of the cars are slightly different in size the last 3 being different in size and more spaced out and one lasf this the numbers of the bombardiar coaches are numbered 101-210 and the former cab cars are numbered 601-637 and only some have been converted i went into so much detail didn't i
