Well done video thank you. Two addition points: have the spare checked regularly to make sure that it has adequate air pressure BEFORE you need it. Second, before you jack the vehicle, always a good idea to chock the wheel on the same side as the one you are changing (lay the spare against it) so the vehicle can’t roll down off the jack. Love my Sienna , appreciate your demo

what I needed was how to extract the jack - it doesn't come out when I pull it. I read the manual and found that you have to turn the crank to loosen it first. Then it comes out easily. This would be a helpful thing to show in the video.

I had the exact same problem. I was stuck in the rain trying to pry the jack out not knowing you had to loosen it. Ended up calling a tow truck to help me

My issue now too in the cold dark trying to change a flat on my brand new sienna. Thanks to google and KZbin because my dad was a mechanic and taught me how to change a flat at age fourteen but my sales associate for this van did not tell me where the jack etc or where the donut was even stored. Sams haul too had to unload stuff just to get to the jack then I had to google how to get the tire down! Thank you so much for this video!

so... the lug wrench in the back compartment did not fit my lug nuts... had to call a neighbor for help... off to acquire a new tire and hopefully a lug wrench that works... thanks for the video... a big help...

Nicely done but two extra safety things : Handbrake ON and Chocks IN (chock the wheels not being removed so that they can not roll and perhaps cause the vehicle to fall from the jack).

my dad taught me to never put my hands between the tire and car body but always go on either side of the tire nearest the bottom and lift so your hands can never get trapped if the jack slips or releases

How many foot pounds should the lugs be tightened to?

Couple of things. FIRST you ALWAYS make sure the vehicle is on as level as an area as possible AND put the parking brake on and if possible block the tire(s) that's not being raised, notice you didn't say anything about that, good way to get someone hurt. Also didn't show how to raise the jack by turning it with your hand until it engages the car. Then use the crank.

Since when do you loosen the lug nuts on the tire BEFORE jacking up the vehicle an inch or two? Makes no sense to me to try and loosen the lug nuts while the full weight of the vehicle is on the tire…

That’s the whole point. You don’t want the car rocking when you are “breaking” the nut loose-old trick.
