Wardy, you are spot on. Many fans have to understand that , this is a business. I love the Polar Bear, but he has to be realistic about his value and do do the Mets. Pete fits this team, but can be replaced at thos point in his career. So both sides need to sit and iron out something all can live with.

Latest Mets move. Ex ex ex ex. And it's really more of the same stuff I could definitely use a break from. Yes there's things happening but nothing really new yet. Howabout we wait until something actually happens now. No? The latest news is really what has been happening now for how long now. Hey man, if these videos are good for you and the channel exex then great man. This is just part it. These kinds of videos. The slightest thing comes out in certain news and a video has to come out for it. It came out that the Mets made an offer for example to Hernandez before he signed and videos had to come out just to talk about that. Hey sorry. Once in a while I'll get frustrated with these kind of lullish videos that keep coming out as breaking or latest news. Teascor signed. I can care less who made an offer before he signed. Lol 🤨 he signed he's gone. That's just an example. Alot of these news and rumors it's enough for me to just read about it and forget about it as soon as I read it. I'm really not looking forward to seeing any videos come out about those things. I want 2 different reasons for videos. 1: the Mets are on the verge to sign or trade for this player 2: the Mets (HAVE SIGNED)....(OR TRADED) for this or that player. If it's some depth signing or trade or if they're only interested in someone, maybe you can just write a post and not make a video and only do videos for those 2 main reasons above. But don't mind me I'm just venting. I'm just tired of these "if the Mets do this, if the Mets do that" videos. Maybe it's good for me to disconnect for alittle while and come back when the Mets finally do something with these said names.

Sign Pete, hold money and comp draft picks and sign Vlady next year. Rotate Pete/Vlady next year both between 1st and DH keeping them both fresh..Get rid of Marte, sign Winker. Trade McNeil and Brett and A ball prospect for pitching - leaving room for prospects. Let Acuna and Mauricio battle for 2nd base. Play Nimmo at DH into Aug this year to get healthy and use Taylor/Winker/Siri and Soto in the field. You can then start rotating the DH position down the stretch and go for defense in the outfield when ahead or based on pitching. Vlady will fit the mold, because he's athletic having come up as a SS and more versatile than Pete. If LA can have an Allstar team, we can too.

If Boras and Alonso remain firm on demanding anything even close to $200 million, Pete is NOT going to be on the Mets this year. He is going to have to cut his demands roughly in half. Boras has a history of holding it out for the very last dollar - even if it means that his client ultimately signs with a team that is not going to be conducive to his game and where he will ultimately be very unhappy. So, if they don't get real and come down to the $100-$110 million dollar level, Pete is probably going to end up with the Giants and he will be thoroughly miserable. The team sucks, the city sucks and the ballpark is death for his game. He's an East Coast guy and I just can't see him playing out there.

If the Mets don’t sign Pete I don’t see them signing any other big name hitters. Stearn obviously likes to give the contracts he likes and not what the players want. Bregman wants 6 years, I don’t see the Mets doing that. Santander wants 5 years I don’t see them doing that nor do I see these guys accepting a short term deal with a high AAV. Just my thought but let’s see what happens.

Just FYI, NY and SF are still safer than cities like Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Kansas City, St. Louis, etc.. believe it or not SF is still a desirable place to live. Think about it, just like NY, property values wouldn’t be so high if they were such bad places and nobody wants to live there. Now, for a hitter to play in that cold stadium that saps your power, that’s a whole different story.
