Vlad is light years better than Alonso. People read need to understand how stats work. Vlad is a career 290 batter with much better plate discipline than Alonso. Vlad would not be a rental. He’s on an expiring contract with the Bluejays. He’s 💯 worth it if Cowan a pull off a masterful blockbuster and sign Vlad over Alonso. I’m a diehard Mets fan, to understand this trade you have to understand stats. Vlad is by far an upgrade over Alonso no question. The Mets top 4 Lindor/Soto/vlad/vientos, that’s nearly 200 homers between the 4. Passing up on Alonso and giving up for drafts we never seen play yet at the MLB to get a proven power hitter I’d do it
