Nice steal of a win..... Pete is so Discombubulated , King like crazy at outside Sliders. Keep on eye on Lindor. He's got to back on Track. Question: Why did mendosa take McQill out after 6 Innings - he was pitching his best Game of the Year?? And in a Pitch Hit Roll for Blackburn. Said B4, I'll say it again.....Whatta Find getting Iglesias - Love the way he plays! Getting Eddy Alvarez paid off Immediately .... Speed Kills - especially in Playoffs. Now we have Eddy A, Tyron Taylor, Marte , Lindor, even Nimmo with Legs !! I still contend......Play Torrens more than Frankie A - he is the better catcher behind the plate!

As Joe Montana the NFL Legend said: I'd rather win ugly then lose pretty! This team is blessed; so let's try not to create such an unnecessary mess. The bad choices at the plate swinging in the wind and chasing pitches instead of making the pitcher pitch to you is mistake #1, you are very lucky you won! STOP the BS trying to BUNT: that is a wasted pitch and an easy out! Your job at the plate is to force the pitcher to pitch to you and you have 5-6 chances to walk to the bag or hit the ball: those odds favor the batter. Torrens should have been the catcher, Tyrone Taylor in CF (replacing Bader), Winker the deep thinker for the DH or in the 7th inning stretch.

@@PrmeTme1025 Those who understand winning baseball know that's not how one builds a championship roster in baseball, blowing out the payroll on one player. Even Steve Cohen has a limit; the effect on the rest of the roster would be noticeable. As to Soto, he is a tremendous hitter, but $600m (or more?) is a lot of money. Doesn't help that Soto is a liability in the field, and has something of an obnoxious attitude, not great for a team with a winning clubhouse. I also wonder about his daytime offensive numbers, which are good but waaay below his nighttime numbers. Does he like to party, and come in half awake for day games? That sort of thing can really catch up with a player as he ages.
