I've just one month with these things and I'm pretty sure I can do better one! Look, this works this way: the door you opened in the back; there are two knobs or screws or whatever under the lamp which you adjust for optimum light to get through (look at it like brightness adjustment) the other one black screw in the back which you didn't know of was to move the the numbers in the way of the optics! You set these three and you'll get numbers on the screen .

Good job figuring out this old machine. Though I agree with the two dorks below (these are sensitive machines that need TLC) I figure you only paid $20 for something that was made long before you were born. Way to go and good luck learning more.

horacio rodriguez this video title clearly says it's lighting repair, and that's what I fixed, and it's pretty damn obvious to anyone that I'm not actually a technician for these devices or I would have known what everything was for and how to properly calibrate it. I was just trying to figure it out, and see how it works, if you think this was in any way a video on the proper procedure to calibrate it you are a moron, especially considering you missed the part where I show the cap and the damaged sticker and ask if anyone has pictures of the full thing or more info. If I was providing instructions I would have said so explicitly, this is again very obviously a video of me figuring it out on my own to the best I can with zero information available.

Ok, but you manipulate the balance in a worse form, knobs is not for fast turning up and down, like a door knob, mettler and other mechanical balances are a very sensitive mechanical gears, and get malfunction

Considering there was, and still is basically fuck all information on these things, and I've never used them before, how exactly was I supposed to do any better, hmm? My video is still the top result for this thing, there are no manuals and maybe two forum threads about these searching two years later.
