“Every rook and jay in the corvidae has been raven about me too” is one of my favorite lyrics ever.

Please do more from Mewithoutyou. They're one of my favorite bands. Its super rare to see reactions to them. I would recommend Tie Me UP! Untie Me! , A Stick, a carrot & String, A Glass can only spill what it contains, Red Cow, Mexican War Streets, Messes of Men, Fox's Dream of the Log Flume. You can't really go wrong with any song you pick. This song is off their "folk" album. Most of their music would be classified as Post-Hardcore. Definitely subscribing to your channel. Thanks and God Bless

@@SolaMelodica I 2nd "A Glass Can Only Spill What it Contains". Their music has a variety of Christian, Islamic, and Jewish references as well as some varying philosophical stuff.

King on the coconut estate kills too, first listen I cried, not spiritual but the description of how god interacts with us gave me the craziest chills

@@SolaMelodica Yes and they're definitely an 'album band' where you get the most out of them from listening to albums from start to finish. Their first EP/album are very heavy but with still with progressive/electronic elements and then they started blending in more "indie"/art type elements into their music.

I love the final verse. It’s completely different from the rest of the lyrics, and they introduce backup vocals: “Well I got a walnut brownie brain, And molasses in my veins Crushed graham cracker crust, My powdered sugared funnel cake cocaine Let the crescent cookie rise, These carob-colored almond eyes, Would rest to see my cashewed princess, In the swirling marble sky We’ll rest upon the knee, Where all divisions cease to be, A root beer float in our banana boat, Across the tapioca sea We’re letting all attachments go, It’s the only prayer we know, May it be so, May it be so, May it be so.”

I am surprised to find such a channel as yours. I had thought of doing something similar like with album reviews/commentary from a Christian perspective with certain music that straddles the line. Very cool, keep it up👍

Suggest the song Thing With Feathers by Every Time I Die. Would be a great song to review for your channel.

The album is beautiful, pan-religuois with lots of Islamic and Quaker influences.
