Joop Smit ik voer buffalo, maar ook veel diepvries als pinkys en geknipte wasmot. En ze vinden het lekker als ik met een schepnet insecten aankom.

Falling in love is the easy part. Just keep male and female together. Changing light conditions, weather, giving them nesting material does the rest.

Thanks for the compliments. These birds live mainly on a variety of seeds. But i give them also a bit of fruit like apple and some vegetables like chicory. The young ones need insects and then I give vitamines like D3 and also Calcium

Hi Rossy, I gave my birds special bird seeds and in breeding season (starting now) insects. They use cocofiber in the Netherlands for breeding material. Regards, Ron

In the Netherlands you can buy plastic gardenfence. I bend it to a small circle, attach a prefab nest and I use plastic plants as couver. This is how I help the birds with there nest.
