My tree is on our property. It’s 40 years old & HUGE. My uncle said there’s a way to slow its growth. Possible w/out hurting him?

The only way to slow it's growth is to stop irrigating but that will cause a bunch of issues. Better to let palms do their thing. They look way better when they reach their genetic potential. I have like 60 Roystonea Regias in my property in Mexico and they all have a perfect trunk, without any water stress related issues (trunk bumbs at certain heights). They currently are about 20-25 mts heigth and just look fantastic.
