Mexican Street Food in Small Town Creel 🇲🇽

We are in Creel Chihuahua Mexico to try out some of the local streetfood in thes part of Mexico. It turns out they have their own version of corndogs minus the corn. I tried some churros Mexican style as well as some chips. The pancake dog we can say was the best and something different since they use pancake batter instead of corn batter. Corn dogs are made with cornmeal but you can definitely make it with pancake mix and still call it a corn dog lmao. They make them in the US like that too

The dough (Pastry) for those Churro's is a French concoction called "Pate Au Choux". The same as used to make Chocolate Eclairs and Cream Puffs. The Sophinator knows. Baked wheat flour products were mostly introduced to Mexico while Maximillian was Emperor of Mexico.

Eh, not really. As we inherited many things from the Spanish, not only the language and customs, but also dishes. Churros is a Spanish dessert originally, totally different from Pate Au Choux, as it doesn't have any butter or eggs. And Maximilian doesn't have anything to do with this, churros were already a staple when he was crowned.

It was a mistake watching this while I'm starving. PS. Cajeta isn't caramel, cajeta is "burned" goat milk with sugar, dulce de leche is "burned" cow milk with sugar and it's also known as leche quemada. You can make dulce de leche by "burning" condensed milk.
