There are many different ways to set up this game. We have settled on this way to play with a double nine set and two players. For a full game, start each new round with the next double down. The final round will be played with the double zero. The player with the lowest score wins!

Do you only play as many dominoes as you can lay on your FIRST turn, or can you lay as many as possible on every turn?

Only on your first turn. ☺️

I've watched at least 10 videos on how to play and every single one uses different rules. LOL. It's hilarious.

That is the funny thing about these old games. There are a lot of ways to play. You’ll have to pick the way that sounds most fun to you. :)

@@riffleshuffleandroll That's what I ended up doing. Thanks for posting your video. It was a big help.

Are you still accepting games people give you? I made a singleplayer domino game and I would be happy to teach people about it, (unless I made a game that already exists)

What happens if a player plays a double as their last domino? Is the game over, or do they have to draw?
@riffleshuffleandroll4 жыл бұрын
Strict rules say that a player cannot end the round with a double. They would have to draw. I think it is more fun to be able to end with a double, so in my house we play that way.

What is the rule for the first player laying down a double on their first round, if that player is unable to satisfy it? Must the next player forsake laying down as many dominoes as possible to satisfy the first player's double?
@riffleshuffleandroll4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question! If player one ends their first run with a double, they simply end their turn. Player two can take their first turn by laying as many tiles as possible. When it is player 1’s turn again, they must satisfy the double rule or else draw.

@@riffleshuffleandroll Thanks for the answer! It makes sense that player two doesn't have to miss their first turn satisfying player one's double. When it's player one's 2nd turn and they can't satisfy the double rule by drawing, must player two on their 2nd turn then satisfy the double rule or draw?
@riffleshuffleandroll4 жыл бұрын
@@bobbrooke6426 Player 2 does not have to satisfy the double rule. Here is how I would play it: Player 1 plays a double. They cannot play, so they draw a domino. They still cannot play, so they have to open their train, and they place their token on it. Their turn is over. Player two takes their train like normal. They don't have to do anything about the double. On Player 1's next turn, they play like normal. They will (most likely) be unable to play and have to draw. Eventually they will be able to play. If I was player 1, I would refrain from playing a double on my opening move unless I can add to it.

Can you play this with a 6/6 domino set?
@riffleshuffleandroll2 жыл бұрын
I’ve read 9/9 the most often for a smaller group. Not sure how much fun it would be with a 6/6. :)

How did you decide who goes first
@riffleshuffleandroll3 жыл бұрын
Great question! To determine who goes first, each player should take one domino from the set. The player who draws the domino with the highest pip total goes first. After drawing for who goes first, shuffle the dominoes and draw your starting tiles. :)

How many minutes does it take to play one game?
@riffleshuffleandroll4 жыл бұрын
With two players, about twenty minutes or so. Adding more players will make it a longer game. To play a full game over multiple rounds that start with each double, around an hour or so.
