Did enjoy your reminiscing of a time that so many today can’t even begin to imagine or appreciate! What a treasure you are for today to have been witness of such a time in history within that era despite how limited technology paled in comparison. So simplistic & yet still faced with many a struggle, no doubt. But obviously, blessed to have come thru hardships knowing now just how much the little things & simple times of then count! Sounds as if that time for you was full of some of your fondest & most profound! Which is really telling me you are a treasure yourself unlike what ‘hopeless & forlorn’ would suggest! Maybe you should re-brand & represent yourself & those of your generation with a more positive & accurate ‘screen-name’ such as ‘the best of the best’ or even.. ‘generational gestation’. (I like the last one best) & of course, just a strangers observation & unsolicited suggestion.. ❤️ hope your Holidays are not hopeless but truly find you most blessed! Much ❤️

@@miltonking1137 Experience Meaningless: Experience and prejudice. To accept sight and illusion in the same relativity and not be a slave. Slavery: To be free from the growth of intellect. Experience free from understanding and memory as triviality. Memory: reduced down to recollection without review, in a universe of consistent physics; a triviality of organic invincibility. Experience rendered down to self-sensual recall without existential considerations; meaningless. Prejudice: to accept the delusion that no human can consider and choose. For experience to outweigh sense and sensible prudence and suggest in definite physicality that humanity is as inorganic as the constructs we purpose. Triviality to the concept of Slave, is Mass to Gravity, either one hypothetical without the physics of Trivialization or Mass. One requiring the circumstance of genesis, the other requiring absence of necessity; Nativitus Ancillae. Relativity: the universe revolves around you, but only if you watch with others; relativity born of tripartite geometry; self (observing), other (conferring), objective (occurring): co-intimate experience and co-context. A description of the unseen to the comfortable in sense, and sensibility; hypothesis delivered socially by the perfecte mediocris to their perfecte mediocris aetatis. Interest and applause humilis, the sermo aequalis. Contemporary communication, external warehouse for internal deliberation. Deliberatio externa by contrast is built on extra-contemporary, the functional in sense and nerve unwilling to mal-hypothesize popularis prudentia. By definition a contemporary is both naturally occurring and actively intersecting, or it is a generational (illusory), built of temporal coincidence. Meaningless in contemporations intimate, capable of saying they share an age. The addict kind Lonliness is a myth spread by the ill, unwelled by popular delusion (self accepted). The sickly, pulsing out their (self) comforting radiance, the marking of a predators territory. A light to shine on all slow enough to not revile it for it's false and reason less eviction of self from capability. The prey; uninitiated youth, vulnerable innocence. Argue not with the aged (or experienced) self-convinced. The miracle of emotional conformation of physical fact convincing to the unknowing, under steady application, overly sweetened (for the self) ideals of pleasure and comfort, the prey forget they knew a peace that didn't requiring feeding or explanation. The virtue of falsely buoyed stability grinding the ignorant, young, and uncatered, all taken in by the sin of kindness as apex. To gift the sickness that tells a human "human emotion in the negative is unnecessary and beyond comprehension or tolerance". To know that there are those in the world of humanity, who in their generationally refined adherence to parasite coddling, will continue to teach the youth "drugs are a healthy and functional right of aware and intelligent people" is a mark of shame in this age of our collective development. The truth of human being betrayed by the proposed necessity of stimulation beyond the natural state, it's supposed normality vouchsafed; sobriety (health) ignored as a greater insanity than parasitism. Salve the wounded pride of the vulgar addict, crucify the outspoken advocate of reassessment. This is not a statement of conflict, rather a portrait of the true and natural order in it's biased equality (comfort belonging to those who crave it most). Exogeny In an era of fear, humanity is tested. The exodus of existential loneliness is a heavy burden. Self-indulgent contemporary values, the pitiful death of the faithful gregarious martyr. Silenced in the passion of virtue, in the fury of desire as necessity, the ideal dies for the joy of man as the ideal devotee of nothing. Endogenous evidence of exogenous truth, derived from noble prejudiced purposes, refutes the pathologies of nature as the folly of prosaic and sensible sustainability. Euphoria at any cost, at any cost.

My Dad turned 87 on March 7th... this is his song. Happy Birthday Pops!

Another favorite! When i was growing up, My father would often say he remembered hearing Fats Domino play on the radio when he & my uncle first moved to Chicago back in the mid 1950s, when they were in their 20s. Today, dad would be 92 if he were still living. This was one of his favorites too. A lot of Good Music was being played back in those days! When it comes to Fats Domino, He was among the Best of Americas National Treasures! 🇺🇲 "Often imitated, but Never Duplicated!"

He had such a natural and suave way of singing songs with so much feeling. This song has been one of my favorites for more than fifty years. Fats Domino had a great talent and I miss him, as more recent singers - those of nowadays- cannot hold a candle against him.

I remember listening to Blueberry Hill as a little kid. I had to have my Dad translate it, and even though he didn't speak that much english, he did his best to translate it. Denmark is flat as a pancake, so he also had to explain that hills can be a lot taller than the 20 meter (70ft) hill that we kid uses as "ski hill". Blueberries didn't grow within 20 km (13mi) from where we lived, but he knew how they tasted, and did his best to explain it. The song made a lot more sense when we moved to Greenland for some years. We lived in the southern most part of Greenland, and just two minutes walk from the last houses of the town (1300 inhabitants still constitutes a town in Greenland, the population is that small), there were hills abundant with all kinds of berries. Including blueberries. My older brother and I would go out and look for ripe berries after school, and if we had any luck, we would feast on berries. Blueberries were notoriously difficult to find, as southern Greenland was the northest they grew back then. When we finally did find them, we would eat blueberries 'till we could barely walk. Mom would freak out every time, since the eating frenzy also left our clothes completely stained with blueberry juice, and no detergent available on Greenland back then could remove the stains. Every time we went on a blueberry frenzy, the song would play in my head, and this is one of my dearest childhood memories. These days, you can buy blueberries in the supermarket almost half of the year round, but they are tap water next to the blueberries we picked fresh from the bushes. Thank you so much for the memories, Big Guy! :-)

I'm going to be 33 in a few months, clearly not from the generation that grew up listening to this man. However I was raised by my hippy grandparents and was introduced to music from their childhood, then the late 50s early 60s folk scene, then classic rock. Music is an incredible thing. They were my best friends, especially my grandfather who passed away last month. I recently got clean which helped keep me from going to pieces, but hearing the music that they introduced me to and that I love so much helps more than I could ever tell.

I have no idea why but this song entered my consciousness yesterday, despite not hearing it for a very long time. I bit the bullet and decided to give it a listen today and here I am. So glad I did, because this song emotionally transports me to another place, despite the fact that I didn't grow up listening to it (I'm Gen X). I have a feeling I'm going to be listening to this again and again over the next few days.
