My girls parents are Mexicans and they speak a tad bit of English and are the most nicest people ever. they'll give their kids the world and I'm very thankful for them to take me into their house (someone who isn't the best at Spanish) such lovely people. I'll stand up for any race though. I live in southern California and I run across so many different cultures/ ethnicities. it's an honor and a blessing to live in such an environment

I've never even heard somebody say Mexicans are lazy. I live in Northern California and we have a high population here, and they are the only guy's i'd hire. They will work, and keep working. Americans are lazy and have high expectations. It's not just LA that Mexicans are hard workers, all through Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada as well. They stand around gossiping, working slowly and milking the clock. It takes 5 to do what 1 person does because they congregate and just chatter. Mexican Americans being a product of an American society in where the government provides you with a lot of assistance and so most grow up feeling privileged and taken care of . On the other hand a Mexican migrant that left his loved ones behind not knowing if they'll ever see them again and put his life through great danger trying to cross over just to get any type of job that will pay them in U.S.D is most likely not going to waste his time here being lazy. My Tata came from miners in Jerome, and had to leave school to work with his Dad. He joined the military, and was a WW2 Purple Heart recipient. When he came home, he taught himself to read. He worked for the city, worked agricultural jobs (we sometimes went with him and pulled cotton). After he retired, he worked as a landscaper, in his 70's and early 80's, he held a job as a convenience store cashier, he worked for whomever would hire him, while still doing landscaping. He passed on in 2006 from cancer....but the man never stopped until his body wouldn't allow him to keep going.
