There is contracts that if you resign, you don’t get paid X. But if you get fired you get paid the contract in full. So they made him resign for that reason I believe…

Whoever is El TRI’s national team won't matter until structural changes are made to Liga MX, the federation, and, most importantly, the development of players. Unfortunately, Mexican fans in the United States will continue to go to partidos moleros so nothing will change. An economic boycott of El TRI is needed to force change.

Aguirre gone do more harm than good. He’s gonna put a generic squad with foreign and old players. There’s no future just a bandaid lol if that cuz I think Mexico is gonna fail for the next 4-6 years until fans stop going to games. They just care about money, nepotism, and doing the bare minimum. It’s sad. As a Mexican American I love the Mexican team but I gave up. It’s not even the players fault it’s the federation and league that is so corrupt and it’s blatant! I don’t mind having a bad team happens to every national team but at least try and fix the problem not do the bare minimum with no real plan! Bomba Rodriguez and all these guys in the federation are money hungry jokes!

Aguirre biggest win was a 5-0 win vs USA C team in gold cup final as I actually went to that game. USA was in confederation cup when they made the final but also beat the mighty Spain. Aguirre is the same dude who lost to USA in the World Cup lol 😂

@@Clips_FN what I find funny now is how obsessed Mexican media and fans are with USA when USA who are now better don’t even see Mexico as an obstacle anymore as their goal is to better because they have the players meanwhile Mexico is so obsessed with beating USA because they haven’t won in like 5-6 years lol this is why Mexico will never be a top 10 team. Like Mexico still cares about the gold cup when USA who has a majority European side now takes a B/C team because stupid gold cup takes place in July where most players have to be back from training and most European sides will not recognize the stupid tournament to merit having a player miss training. Javier Aguirre is more of a quick-fix for Mexico, which is weird because he rescued Mexico twice from their then-disasterous WCQs in 2002 and 2010. TBH, give this guy a permanent job until Aguirre says "no mas". Regarding the first question, the answer is "no". Cachirules, anyone?

Look bringing Aguirre back is better than what we had. Saying Henry Martin is a big player that was dropped is ridiculous, he did nothing with Mexico. You have to hope that he’s learned from his past and plays youth players instead of older players. They say third times a charm. Saying that 2002 was the biggest disappointment is a reach, it’s obviously 2022. In 2002, USA was actually playing really good, Herc is making it seem like USA were terrible that tournament.

Strong disagree, 2002 is a worse disappointment than 2022. Since facing the US in 2002, Mexico has faced Argentina twice, Netherlands, and Brazil in the R16. Which of these teams is the easiest to beat? The US, obviously. That should've been the moment Mexico progresses the the quarter finals for the first time. But it didn't happen, and that's why it's the worse disappointment. Going into the 2022 WC, everyone knew this was one of the worst Mexican teams, so getting grouped was disappointing but unsurprising

People defending the Aguirre retreading is insane to me. I get it. He's a quick and reliable fix that'll likely make for a noticeable but also quick recovery. But then, what if that doesn't happen this time? That aside, he was not (as Herc said) the best available person for the job.

I like that Hercules respects Sebastian's point of view. However, Sebastian needs to stop interrupting people when they are making a point, even if he already knows where they are going with it. It makes the conversation confusing and annoying that I didn't get to hear Shaka or Hercule's point without it being changed/influenced by the comments then making it less impactuful and different from what it should have been.

Aguirre will not change anything! The players available are not good enough. LigaMX is not developing Mexican players for the national team pool. Until they change the rules and actually enforce them at the club level, nothing will change. Shaka's answer to the question about which job is the most attractive was the most diplomatic way of saying that neither job is attractive 🤣

Mexico is guilty of being their own worst enemy and the same goes for the fans. The Mexican club owners purposely inflate the market for a Mexican player by giving inflated salaries and driving up the asking price for a Mexican player when there is no market for that player anywhere else within the price range LigaMX owners are asking for, but only in Mexico. In doing so, they bind the player to the LigaMX. The league also plays too many foreigners and doesn't give youth a chance and the owners opted to protect their investments by abolishinh the relegation process. The players also play into this by virtue of their own complacency and opt to stay in Mexico for the inflated salary rather than gamble and improve their level of play in Europe, which could lead to bigger rewards down the road if they adapt. The fans are also to blame because they insist that their league is a top league despite the results they see at the national level. Despite porous results from the national team, they still keep buying merchandise and tickets to watch subpar fútbol from America, Chivas, Rayados, Tigres, and Cruz Azul. Why would owners change anything when Mexican fans are so ignorant to realize the reality that the LigaMX is mediocre that they keep spending money on merchandise and tickets?

The worst years for the Mexican team from 1974 to 1982. Aguirre owns the most embarrassing lost for Mexico in a World Cup, when he lost to the 🇺🇸 in 2022. He failed to take Japan and Egypt to the World Cup. He lost in an embarrassing way in Abu Dhabi 2021 FIFA Club World Cup.

The Mexican soccer structure is rotten and mainly is because the federation, leagues, and all types of competition are managed by a handful of scavengers that own the two biggest tv consortium in the country (televisa and tv azteca) for decades the only interest of these business people is simple, make money at the expense of a very loyal but conformist fan base, and unfortunately they end up paying for a product that is way to much overrated, and all mighty time is putting its puzzle where it needs to be, greed doesn't always go along with sports and mexican fans are having a very rude awakening, for years the used to be called " el gigante de la Concacaf " lately have been more like " ratones verdes ", without a doubt this is one of the darkest episodes in Mexico's futbol, a federation where you can find all kinds of scandalous episodes, " cachirules", homophobic chants without ever been punished for by FIFA, doping cases not been enlightened by FIFA (clembuterol) the magical disappearance of ascend leagues which in my opinion is very important for any league in the world because that's where young players can jump to become great players.
