More than 150 journalists have been killed in Mexico since 2000. The case of Regina Martinez, an investigative journalist assassinated in her home in the state of Veracruz in 2012, is emblematic of this war being waged against the press. Katherine Corcoran, former Associated Press bureau chief for Mexico and Central America, joins The Chris Hedges Report to discuss her book on the case of Regina Martinez and the wider context of the killings of journalists in Mexico, 'In the Mouth of the Wolf'.

Carmen Aristegui, Charistegui more accurately, is an echo chamber for the US in CNN-Español. These are 3 of the best paid echochamber. During AMLO's reign of recovery and justice, the reporters who have being targeted are from local small towns where the CIA-CARTEL operate with the aid of a few government officials. Like Maru Campos, a governor for the PAN (NARCO-PARTY) has struck a deal with the cartel which she considers a sensible accord, where they will behave if she gets the military out of her state, she is also trying to pass a law where she can go missing from office for up to 22 days without giving an explanation, probably so she can meet with Ken Salazar (US ambassador) with no pressure. The Truth is being revealed and they hide it by silencing the reporters. It's no coincidence that the banks are losing money, Mexico has put a BIG dent in their overhead 🤭 You got a good start, now get to work. No one is just going to give you anwers....besides, you must determine if its TRUE or not on your own. 🤓

The underlying issue is rarely discussed. Powerful people and groups that are visible, in the past like GBush in the U.S. and the PRI in Mexico, are only figureheads. The real power in the Americas, north to south, is in the hands of Europeans trying to position themselves favorably vs any indigenous political power that might arise in the future. The European side is on the rapid decline, and the more the European side escalates the worse Europeans will be once things wash out. The war is not controlling journos, or drugs, or terrorism, or capitalism vs communism. It is European vs indigenous.
