Nick is right. The Pacific is the strongest. Also, the Atlantic Ocean was famously as calm as glass on the night Titanic sank. It’s why the lookouts couldn’t see the iceberg in time. There was no whitewater at the base. The calm sea and the cold weather also created a famous optical illusion that changes the location of the actual horizon at night.

I'm Mexican born and raised. Living in Mexico AND I WANT to go to Puerto Vallarta with Nick as a translator. I think Nick is right about the tsunamis happening in the pacific, here In Baja California we have a LOT of seismic activity so between the Falla de San Andres and the Fire Belt, the pacific is prone to tsunamis but I'm no scientist. I'll wait for Lizzo's opinion.
