As a Mexican baseball fan who’s excited to see the game grow, I can honestly say this was the greatest game I’ve ever watched. What a magnificent showcase full of the kind of excitement and drama we’d expect from the World Series. As a Mexico fan that ending was brutal but as a baseball fan I’ll be vividly recalling this game for years!

Great game from both teams. Mexico and Japan really earned their spots in the semifinals and either would've been great teams for the final. Hoping this USA v. Japan game is another classic.

There were a lot going on as sub-arcs to this point of team Japan to this win. As some might have already read, Murakami won batting Triple crown last year, the first in Reiwa Era of Japan and as the youngest player (he is 23 years old... 23 ffs) ever to do so. Worth mentioning he broke Sadaharu Ou 55 homers by Japanese player at the same time. Then he had the worst streak since practice games and the first 5 games, got demoted from hitting 4th to 5th, yet the manager committed to him and all-in and he delivered. Shuutou (Shuto) is one of the fastest, if not the fastest players in NPB playing for Softbank Hawk (one of the best team in NPB) and damn he proved that alright. Gratz to team Japan, good game team Mexico, and hope the best would win tomorrow!

Definitely a far less raucous atmosphere that in your typical regular season game, outside of important late season matchups. Even playoff games often don't get this crazy unless they're similarly do or die like a Game 7. The amount of runs scored was pretty par for the course though.
